Research Overview
Original research that turns field uncertainty into decision-grade evidence.
Sovereign+ conducts independent studies on the questions practitioners keep encountering without credible answers — AI adoption, credentialing, program models, partnerships, membership strategy, and education-forward business design — and publishes the findings as reports and strategic briefs. We do it because the insights matter to the people we serve, because the right questions drive urgency, and because leaders make better decisions when there’s real evidence behind them — not anecdotes, vendor surveys, or borrowed benchmarks.
Why we conduct it
An advisory firm is only as good as the evidence behind it.
Too much consulting relies on borrowed benchmarks, vendor-funded surveys, dated case studies, or assumptions carried from one client context into another. Sovereign+ takes a different position: if advisory work begins with diagnosis, the diagnosis should be informed by current evidence from the field itself.
Our independent research program studies the questions leaders are already facing but can’t answer cleanly on their own. We design neutral instruments, gather field-level data, analyze the signal, and publish findings leaders can examine, trust, and use — work that sharpens both our client engagements and the broader conversation. The result isn’t research for research’s sake; it’s a stronger evidence base for strategy, program design, AI adoption, credentialing, partnerships, and organizational decision-making.
Field data turns scattered experience into visible patterns. A single anecdote can raise a question; evidence shows whether the pattern is real enough to act on.
What we study
Current research priorities.
The questions the program is focused on now — the areas where the field is moving faster than the available guidance.
AI adoption & organizational readiness
How organizations are actually adopting AI — what’s working, what’s stalling, and where readiness gaps sit.
Credentialing & certification models
How certifications earn trust, scale, and stay relevant as the market and technology shift.
Partner, channel & ecosystem strategy
How partner, channel, and ambassador models create value — or quietly leak it.
Membership & community value
What members and communities actually value, and what keeps them engaged over time.
Education-forward business models
How education, training, and content turn into durable revenue and positioning.
Program design, pricing & sustainability
What makes programs financially sustainable, not just well-attended.
The reports
What the reports make possible.
Each study produces more than a publication. It creates a shared evidence base for leaders, practitioners, and organizations trying to make decisions in areas where the field is moving faster than the available guidance.
Decision-grade evidence
Findings strong enough to inform strategy, pricing, positioning, program design, adoption planning, or investment decisions.
A field-specific benchmark
See how your reality compares with peers facing similar pressures, rather than relying on generic averages that flatten the nuance.
Early access for participants
Contributors receive the findings before public release and may request a confidential benchmark when the study design supports it.
Neutral by design
Research instruments are built to reduce leading questions, confirmation bias, and predetermined conclusions.
Methodologically credible
Designed and led by a CITI-certified researcher and informed by formal research standards, not marketing-survey shortcuts.
Evidence behind the advisory work
The same research program that produces public reports strengthens Sovereign+ client strategy, diagnosis, and recommendations.
Take part
Add your field experience to the evidence base.
Every study depends on practitioners and leaders willing to share what’s actually happening in the field. Participation is short, confidential, and reported in aggregate — most studies take about ten minutes.
Participants receive early access to the findings and, when the study allows, may request a confidential benchmark against the dataset. Your response helps turn isolated experience into a clearer picture of what the field is facing — and what leaders should do next.
Questions
About the research, answered.
What kind of research does Sovereign+ conduct?
Independent field studies on emerging questions in AI adoption, credentialing, certification, program models, partnerships, membership, learning ecosystems, and education-forward strategy. Findings are published as reports, briefs, and strategic insights.
Is this the same as commissioned client research?
No. Commissioned research is designed for one organization and owned by that client. This research program is self-initiated and published for the wider field. The two streams inform each other, but they’re distinct.
Who can participate?
Each study defines its own participant criteria. Most are designed for leaders, practitioners, operators, educators, program owners, or decision-makers with direct experience in the topic being studied.
Will my responses be confidential?
Yes. Responses are reported in aggregate and aren’t attributed to you or your organization unless a study explicitly offers, and you approve, a named contribution.
Can I propose a study?
Yes. If your field keeps returning to a question no one has credibly answered, submit the concept. Strong study concepts usually identify the question, who needs the answer, and what decisions the findings would inform.
How rigorous is the research?
Studies are designed by a CITI-certified researcher using neutral instruments, appropriate sampling logic, careful analysis, and transparent reporting. The goal is credible, decision-useful evidence — not promotional survey content.
Propose a study
Propose the question your field keeps circling.
Some questions keep surfacing — in board meetings, partner conversations, conference sessions, and strategic planning — but no one has gathered the evidence to answer them well. Maybe it’s “how are manufacturers building AI into their partner programs?” If you see one of those questions, propose it: tell us what the field needs to know, who the answer matters to, and what decisions better evidence would support. If the concept fits the research program, Dr. Jones will follow up to scope the study and send a time to talk.
